POETRY IN MOTION

As an artist, I seek to capture the spiritual essence of Odissi, a devotional dance rooted in the worship of Lord Jagannath. This painting portrays the lyrical grace and iconic Tribhangi posture of three dancers, celebrating a tradition originally performed by the Maharis as a living prayer. By emphasizing fluid movement, hastamudras, and abhinaya, my work translates this "poetry in motion" into a visual tribute to heritage. At its core, this dance is a sublime expression of Krishnabhakti. Through this piece, I invite viewers to experience the divine stillness and rhythmic energy of this ancient tradition.
